Job title: Commercial Loan Manager
Department / Location: Secured Recoveries / Hybrid – Leeds, Manchester and Home Working.
Reports to: Operations Manager
Hours of Work: 35 hours a week (between the hours of 09.00-17.00) – 1 hour for lunch (some flexibility may be required according to workloads).
Salary Range: £30,000 to £40,000 (depending on experience)
Your Role
Arrow Global Massey is Arrow UK’s CRE (Commercial Real Estate) team in Arrow Global Ltd managing a diverse portfolio of commercial loan accounts on an individual basis and servicing a growing portfolio of residential rental assets in the UK. Whilst there are procedures which must be followed with a high degree of accuracy, due to our customer-centric nature this is a dynamic, non-process driven environment. Arrow Global Massey is a small, collaborative team where trust and the ability to ‘think outside the box’ is essential. No two days are the same and every loan is unique, as such a creative and flexible approach to work is required.
The role would be ideal for an individual with experience in loan management (preferably business or commercial), bridging loans, or commercial property who is looking to work in a small, dynamic team tackling a variety of projects on a day-to-day basis.
Your Tasks
- Loan account management of CRE loans – ability to understand the operations of a range of businesses, the challenges experienced and the impact these have on the business’s financial performance
- Building and maintaining strong professional relationships with borrowers to enable cooperation and open communication
- Identifying borrowers’ needs and requirements and proposing suitable solutions, working with the borrower to implement these
- Liaison with third parties – lawyers, bailiffs, auctioneers and other agents etc. – assimilating information and presenting verbal or written proposals to investors
- Overview of all Loan Account Management Reports, Income Trackers and preparation of packs for monthly/quarterly meetings
- Presentation of key payment information and loans for review at monthly / quarterly meetings
- Assist with new deal Due Diligence (road trips, assimilating presentations etc.)
- Engaging with key stakeholders including Shared Services, IT, CMSD, business change, litigation, sales, the contact centre and Partner Management.
- Help to develop portfolios and required operational processes in a timely and accurate manner to meet client requirements and help to drive optimal operational performance.
- Work with the onboarding to co-ordinate the release of portfolios into the live environment, while enabling internal SLAs.
Your Skills and Experience
- Experience in loan management (preferably commercial) or commercial property
- Good excel / IT skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills – team member with strong communication skills (internal and external)
- Ability to deal rapidly with change and cope with a diverse range of borrower situations
- Resilience – ability to cope with borrowers in financial difficulty
- A flexible team player with mentoring skills
- Ability to work in an unstructured environment
