Hours of Work:         

8 hours between 07:00 – 18:00 Monday to Friday, including 1 hour unpaid break for lunch. Flexibility is required according to workloads.

To design, develop, test and support changes to the business’ systems.


Work within a team of permanent and third-party Case Management System Developers and Analyst Programmers within the IT Development team.

Collaborate with other teams including IT Operations, Corporate Projects, MI, Operations, Client Relationship Management, and third party clients and suppliers.


Design, build, test and support changes and new systems

Support feasibility discussions, provide assessments and estimates of effort to support the change process

Assess gaps in functionality and suggest the most appropriate solution for given requirements

Plan for and execute technical testing, support UAT and create deployment plans

Work with the wider IT team to investigate and resolve application software incidents, and support the production of Root Cause Analysis documentation

Creation and maintenance of accurate documentation


The role is highly dynamic with frequent changes in priorities

Flexibility with working hours is essential, as some changes may require work outside of normal office hours

Willing to participate in the on-call support rota



Proven development experience using C#, ASP.Net and MVC, Javascript, T-SQL

Experience with a recognised source control system (preferably Git)

Technical background, with experience throughout the software development lifecycle

Experience integrating with third-party systems

Business/process analysis and problem management skills

Ability to plan for the short- and long-term


Experience with Bootstrap and jQuery

Experience integrating with third-party systems

Experience with one or more of: classic ASP, VBA, MS Office automation (Excel/Word/Access), SSIS, SSRS, IIS

An understanding of debt collection, secured legal, and unsecured legal processes

Experience of working on projects using a recognised methodology (preferably Agile)

Broad understanding of systems architectures and infrastructures
