Job Title: Data Management Analyst – SQL (SSMS, SSIS)
Department / Location: Hybrid - Leeds / Home Working
Reports to: Data Management Team Lead
Hours of Work: 35 hours a week (between the hours of 09.00-17.00) – 1 hour for lunch (some flexibility may be required according to workloads).
Salary: £25,000 to £30,000 (DOE)
Your Role
The Data Management Team are accountable for the provision of data services to the business. Primarily responsible for the validation, cleansing and transfer of data between ourselves, our clients, nominated agents and the courts to a high level of quality and to strict timescales and SLA’s.
The team is a dynamic one where priorities and work volumes change frequently whilst high quality output is always required, and our approach is to ensure all team members have full knowledge of all tasks to support this.
Alongside existing BAU processes we also serve to administer ad-hoc requests made to our IT Ticketing system. Proactively seeking out the background of the request and expected outcomes to both increase the Team knowledge of business processes/strategies and also identify solutions to reduce manual tasks and risk of error.
The individual will also take responsibility for recording of time for Arrow Professional Services, maintaining of the Data Warehouse, reporting of performance to the Practice Area Heads and supporting Group finance in the invoicing of that time. This function reports directly into the Department Head with the outputs being made available to Group CCO and CEO.
Your Tasks
- Maintain and create procedures using MS Office, SQL Management Studio Services, SQL Server Integration Services and Business Objects that enable the automation of otherwise manual methods.
- SSMS audit of automated processes to capture and report completion outcomes via SQL Server Reporting Studio dashboards.
- Exception outputs of automated process ensuring a 100% data exchange correlation between in / out.
- Ensuring the integrity of time recording submissions using the same automated processes within Data Management.
- Reporting of performance of time recording to Group via Power BI
- Supporting Group finance in the process of accurately invoicing Fund for time submitted.
- Maintenance of held data to ensure both data integrity and cases correctly progressing through the account lifecycle within our Case Management System.
- Support across other Departments to enable upgrade and migration from physical data storage to cloud storage
- Quality control & Audit of completed tasks.
- Process internal Data Management task requests, such as bulk data updates into our Case Management System.
- Various Administrative duties relating to the role
Your Skills and Experience
- Knowledge of SQL Server 2014 software (SSMS, SSIS, SSRS) and SQL data referential infrastructure
- Usage of Power BI or similar desirable but not essential
- Working experience using Microsoft office software Excel
- Proven experience in a data centric environment
- Experience of working in a regulated environment
- Ability to deal with multiple areas of work and competing priorities
- Experience of working cross-functionally with all management levels.
- Excellent communication skills with target audience alignment of the messages
