Job Title: Head of Operations (Recoveries)

Department / Location: Drydens, Leeds / Homeworking

Reports to: Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Hours of Work: 35 hours a week, 1 hour for lunch (flexibility required according to workloads)

Salary Band: Dependant on experience

The Role

Support the COO with the effective management of the day to day Operational and Onboarding teams to provide Drydens and AGMasseys varied client base with professional, efficient and effective debt recovery litigation and master servicing in respect of owned or managed consumer and commercial debts.

At the direction of the COO, utilising resources effectively with the aim of creating maximum value for the Arrow group and our clients.

Your Tasks:

  • Responsible for the overall management of the operational teams, providing support, direction and oversight for the Operations Managers.
  • Defining and implementing strategic objectives for teams in line with the Drydens strategy, implementing appropriate rewards/recognition, coaching and/or corrective practices to align teams and individuals with company goals.
  • Identifying areas for improvement through analysing daily and monthly tasks, making decisions to improve operational efficiency.
  • To communicate professionally and effectively with clients, 3rd parties and colleagues, ensuring the teams understand our objectives and aims.
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure the operation remains responsive to the changing needs of the business.
  • Driving performance measures for the operation, including a consideration of efficiency versus effectiveness, to enable delivery of revenue to budget, while controlling costs.
  • Ensure the teams deliver successfully to a high standard of quality combined with expected levels of output for the activities actioned. 
  • To comply with all regulatory and ethical standards, including the Consumer Duty principles, FCA and SRA expectations and client contractual requirements.

Your Skills/Qualifications    

  • Significant experience in debt collection, debt purchase and debt recovery litigation, with a focus on operations.
  • Leadership to motivate teams to meet objectives and follow procedures
  • Ability to communicate and influence – both in writing and verbally - in a professional and effective manner.
  • Confident decision-making to ensure clear direction for the business and teams.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure, responding with flexibility to varying work volumes.
  • Strong commercial awareness.
  • Results orientated with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of data analysis and project management to solve problems and deliver results
